The Atlanta Veterinary Clinic is a mixed practice facility serving the owners of pets, farm animals and horses. Ninety percent of our practice is related to companion animals. The remainder is farm animal and equine services.
Our facility consists of surgical and dental suites, comfortable waiting area, two exam rooms, a grooming area and both inside and outside kennel areas.
Dr. Walter E. Bungard is a graduate of Michigan State University. He is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology. Dr. Bungard is certified by both the State Board of Examiners and the State Board of Pharmacy. Dr. Bungard regularly attends continuing education seminars to remain current in the practice of veterinary medicine.
Services:
Atlanta Veterinary Clinic offers small animal surgery, dentistry, grooming and boarding as well as annual wellness examinations and vaccines.
We use gas anesthesia, IV fluids, respiratory and cardiac monitoring during surgery to decrease risk to our small animal patients.
The clinic has an X-ray machine and a darkroom for radiology services as well as an in-house laboratory for diagnostics and it's own pharmacy. If necessary, specimens are sent to outside facilities for further testing.
When needed, referral services are available at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University in Lansing.
Philosophy:
Our objective is to help keep your pet healthy and avoid illness with annual wellness exams, vaccines and necessary laboratory tests. If your pet does become ill we will do our best to make it well. At the Atlanta Veterinary Clinic we feel your pet is an important member of your family and will treat it with care and concern. We treat each pet individually, concentrating on the quality of care given.
Appointments:
Office hours are by appointment Monday through Friday: 989-785-3521
Surgeries and dentals are scheduled in the mornings with office visits in the afternoon.
Select morning appointments are available Wednesdays and Fridays.
Professional grooming services are available for our clients by appointment. All pets receiving grooming services must have current vaccinations on file in our office.
Boarding services are offered to our regular clients by appointment. All pets who board with us must have current vaccinations on file in our office.
After hour emergency services are provided to our regular clients, meaning those who use our services on a regular and continuing basis.
Financial Policy:
Payment is required at the time of service. The Atlanta Veterinary Clinic accepts Personal checks and Travelers checks both with proper I.D., Money Orders, VISA, MasterCard or Cash.
